Description
SpiFlash® Memory ICs 3/3.3V V 4.9mm mm series. In addition to the W25Q80DVSNIG, Winbond produces the W25Q80DVSNIG, a serial flash memory device with 8 pins. Datasheet, features, and applications will be presented in this article.
With its small footprint, few pins, and high power requirements, the W25Q80DV (8M-bit) Serial Flash Memory offers a good option for systems who have limited space, pins, and power. The 25Q series of Serial Flash devices offers superior performance as well as greater flexibility than any standard Serial Flash device. The SPXIP units can store voice, text, data, and can also shadow code to RAM or be directly connected to a dual or quad SPXIP to execute code directly from a dual or quad SPXIP controller to store data, text, and voice. As little as 1 yA of current can be drawn from the device when the device is powered down by a single 2.7V to 3.6V power source. There are bundles of devices that can save you space and allow you to purchase all the devices at once.
This W25Q80DV array has a total of 4,096 programmable pages, each of which contains 256 bytes. The amount of bytes that can be programmed at one time is up to 256. The chip can be erased in 16-bytes sectors (4KB), in 256-bytes blocks (64KB), in 12832KB blocks (64KB), or it can be erased by the chip as a whole (chip erase). On the W25Q80DV, there are 16 blocks that are erasable, and there are 256 sectors that are erasable. It is possible to increase the flexibility of programs in which data, parameters, and other parameters need to be stored due to the compact 4KB sectors in the memory.
Additionally to the usual Serial Peripheral Interface (SPl), the W25Q80DV offers an excellent Dual/Quad output and Serial Data 1/00 (DI), 1/02 (WP), and 1/03 (/HOLD). SPI clock frequencies of up to 104MHz are supported by the Fast Read Dual/Quad 1/0 instructions, so the Dual 2/0 instruction can be executed at 208MHz and the Quad 1/0 instruction at 416MHz, respectively. The transfer speeds of these flash memories are faster than those of traditional parallel 8 and 16-bit flash memory. Besides the hold pins, write protection pins, and programmed write protection features, this device also features a top or bottom array control, or full complement array control to provide additional control flexibility. Moreover, the device is also supported by a 64-bit Unique Serial Number that can be used to identify the device and manufacturer in accordance with JEDEC standards.
