Question 1

What is the Mfr

Accepted Answer

Mfr refers to the component's producing company, whose brand and manufacturing processes directly impact the component's performance, consistency, and traceability, making it a key reference during selection.

Question 2

What is the Series

Accepted Answer

Series indicates a manufacturer’s organized range of components, often named with a common prefix or code, to streamline product selection and ensure compatibility across similar models.

Question 3

What is the Package

Accepted Answer

his term denotes the protective casing (often made of plastic, ceramic, or metal) that encapsulates an integrated circuit, determining its size, reliability, and suitability for different mounting technologies like through-hole or SMT.

Question 4

What is the Number of Motors

Accepted Answer

Number of Motors refers to the total count of individual electric motor units included in a device, system, or module, with the unit being “motors” or “units” (e.g., 2 motors).

Question 5

What is the Current - Output

Accepted Answer

Current - Output refers to the continuous or instantaneous current value that a circuit, device, or component (e.g., power supply, amplifier, driver IC) can source or sink at its output port, with the base unit of Amperes (A).

Question 6

What is the Interface

Accepted Answer

A standardized set of electrical signals, physical connectors, and communication protocols that enables data exchange and control between separate electronic systems or subsystems. It defines the mechanical, electrical, and logical rules for interoperabil

Question 7

What is the Type

Accepted Answer

This parameter categorizes a component based on its fundamental operating principle, internal structure, or primary application domain. It serves as the highest-level identifier, grouping devices with shared core characteristics—such as "N-Channel MOSFET,

Question 8

What is the Motor Type

Accepted Answer

This parameter categorizes an electric motor based on its fundamental operating principle and construction. It defines the core mechanism for converting electrical energy into mechanical rotation, such as DC brushed, brushless DC (BLDC), stepper, AC induc

Question 9

What is the Control / Drive Type

Accepted Answer

This parameter defines the fundamental method by which a power semiconductor device (e.g., MOSFET, IGBT) is switched and the nature of its gate drive requirements. It specifies whether the device is voltage-controlled (requiring a gate voltage to form a c

Question 10

What is the Product Status

Accepted Answer

Product Status indicates the commercial availability and production stage of the component, such as Active, Not for New Design (NRND), Obsolete, or Last Time Buy (LTB).

Question 11

What is the Operating Temperature

Accepted Answer

The operating temperature is the range of ambient temperature within which a power supply, or any other electrical equipment, operate in. This ranges from a minimum operating temperature, to a peak or maximum operating temperature, outside which, the powe

Question 12

What is the Voltage - Supply

Accepted Answer

The nominal DC potential difference applied to the power input pin(s) of an integrated circuit or module, measured in volts (V). It defines the required energy level for proper operation and establishes the reference for internal logic levels and analog s

Question 13

What is the For Use With/Related Products

Accepted Answer

This parameter specifies the intended application or system context for a component by listing the specific devices, platforms, or product families it is designed to interface with or operate within. It guides engineers in selecting compatible parts, ensu

Question 14

What is the Features

Accepted Answer

These are the additional, non-core capabilities or characteristics integrated into a component beyond its primary function. They enhance performance, reliability, or ease of use, such as built-in protection (thermal shutdown, overcurrent), enable/disable

Question 15

What is the Mounting Type

Accepted Answer

Mounting Type refers to the standardized classification of the method by which an electronic component or module is physically secured and electrically connected to a printed circuit board, chassis, or panel. It defines how the component integrates into t

Question 16

What is the Voltage - Load

Accepted Answer

This parameter specifies the voltage level that must be applied across the output terminals of a power supply, driver, or regulator to properly operate the connected electrical load. It is a critical specification for ensuring compatibility between the so
